Hi again!  Welcome to another SR 1st Church of God Bible Study.
Let's look at 1 Corinthians 11- Paul certainly covered a lot of ground in just a few
short verses!

We know that God is head over everything and we are told in 11: v.3 that the Head
of Christ is God the Father.  This mean that Christ actually submitted to God the
Father. By submitting Himself to God the Father it was so that there could be, would
be a perfect sinless sacrifice to pay the required death penalty for our sins.  Paul
tells us in verses 4-16 about submission and authority.

If you understand the submission of Christ to God, even when Christ was also God,
and equal with God, you will better understand the points that Paul will be making
concerning the relationship of: man and woman, and of man to God, and of woman
to God. (verses 3-16) is teaching us about the chain (the line) of authority that God
has decreed.  God the Father and Jesus have total and unequivocal authority over
man.  And Jesus is the direct authority over man in this line of command.  Jesus
has
this direct authority over man and mankind because it is Jesus who, by His death as
our sacrifice, provided the way for our direct and unhindered assess to the throne of
God the Father.  It is only because of what Jesus did for us that we can actually go
directly to God's Throne and talk to the Father about our problems, cares, concerns,
desires, anything! Look at verse 3, we see that God is the head of Jesus.  Who is the
of man? And who is the head of woman? Look at the rest of the section (11:3-16).
Similarly man (the husband, or father, elder, etc.) submits to Jesus.  Jesus is the
one who is the authority over man and is man's assigned provider in all things.  The
woman, since she is under the authority of man, must acknowledge their place of
submission in the chain of command it is essential that a woman acknowledges that
fact that she is in submission to her husband or man in authority over her.  Men are
you in submission to Christ? Ladies are you in submission to your husband? Children
are you in submission to your parents?  This is God's choice of order.  Men have you
assume the position of headship in your marriage, in your family.  For this is God's
plan.
It is His desire to bless your family through you!  If you fail to submit to the Lord
Jesus and if you fail to be the covering (the provider, the protector, the guide, the
comforter, etc.) of your wife and family, you have disobeyed God.  You are out from
under His chain of authority and therefore are out of His perfect will.  Men often
question why their wifes won't submit to them?  One question that always comes to
mind is, are you submitted to Jesus? Or we question why our children don't listed to
us?  Have we broken the chain of command?

We desire authority, respect and order, but we refuse to submit to God's order.
Order in your home starts with following God's plan for divine order.  Stop accusing
one another of not being in their proper place.  We first must get ourselves in our
proper place!  Men submit to Jesus in all things!  Women submit to your husbands,
and children obey your parents as unto the Lord.  Remember God is watching and
this is His perfect plan, not a choice we get to choose.
God's Chain Of Authority
GREEK WORDS OF THE SCRIPTURES. THE HE
HEBREW WORD (PRONOUNCED) shaw-bawth,
which means to cease; hence the origin of the
word Sabbath. As Bible history processed, "rest"
became a state of being and a place where God's
people could rest, not meaning that they would
be idle in the "promised land," but that they
would live in peace from that which troubled
them, if they obeyed Him.

Unfortunately, most of them didn't, but the
physical Promised Land was used as a those
who made it there back then and even now really
haven't made it without the continue work of God
then and God via the Holy Spirit now.

"Jesus said: come to Me, all who labor and are
heavy laden, and I will give you rest"

God doesn't get tired; When God uses the word
rest it means He "ended His work which He
made had made" "Thus the heavens and earth
were finished, and all the host of them. The
seventh day God ended His work which He had
made; and He rested on the seventh day from all
His work which He had made. And God blessed
the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that
in it He had rested from all His work which God
created and made."
(See Genesis 2 V. 1-3)

The physical "Promised Land" was a place
where God's people could rest from all your
enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety.
Their rest was a state of being, a state of
existence.

Deuteronomy 12 V. 10-11 "But when ye go over
Jordan, and dwell in the land which The Lord
your God giveth you to inherit, and when He
giveth you rest fro all your enemies round about,
so that ye dwell in safety; Then there shall be a
place which the Lord your God shall choose to
cause His name to dwell there; thither shall ye
bring all that I command you; your offerings, and
your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave
offering of your hand, and all your choice vows
which ye vow unto the Lord"

The physical Promise Land did not last because
too many of the people were carnal minded.
(See
Romans 8 V. 7)" the carnal mind is enmity
against God: for it s not subject to the law of God,
neither indeed can be. So then they that are in
the flesh cannot please God

The physical Promised Land was intended only
as a model for a future spiritual Promised Land.
Let us therefore fear, lest a promised being left
us of entering into His rest, any of you should
seem to come short of it. For unto us was the
Gospel preached, as well as unto them: But the
word preached did not profit them, not being
mixed with faith in them that heard it. " For we
which have believed do enter into rest, as He
said, as I have sworn in My wrath, if they shall
enter into My rest: although the works were
finished from the foundation of the world.  For He
spake in a certain place of the seventh day on
this wise, and God did rest the seventh day from
all His works. And in this place again, if they shall
enter into My rest."

"Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must
enter therein, and they to whom it was first
preached entered not in because of unbelief;
Again, He limiteth a certain day, saying in David,
today, after so long a time; as it is said, today if
ye will hear His voice, harden not your hearts.
For if Jesus had given them rest, then would He
not afterward have spoken of another day."

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people
of God. For He that hath is entered into His rest,
he also hath ceased from his own works, as God
did from His. Let us labor (obey His Word)
therefore to enter into that rest, least any man fall
after the same example of unbelief.
REST
Everyone’s talking about the sign of the times or the End Time signs. The saints of
God should be saying regardless of the date or time look around us; the message is
clear.
1 Peter 2: v, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which
stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
          or
1 Peter 2: v.8 They stumble because they do not listen to God’s word or obey it and
so they meet the fate that has been planned for them.

We all want to hear the messages that say all is well and not to worry, but the reality is
positive thinking is just that. A really nice thought. The Bible is clear with facts.

Gal 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall
he also reap. Why is it we make a $10.00 deposit into our bank account, and request a
withdrawal of a $1,000.00 dollars. That’s called robbery. We do the same with God. We
think we have made a deposit and we want a return on what? Why is it we can have
faith for a new car, job, home and even a husband or wife, but we can’t have faith to
live the way God commands us to.

How is it we can forget that the Bible say’s in
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly
in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. If your living right your going to go through
it. Stop trying to delete and backspace over verses in the word of God.

It seems like we all just want to get along. Times are hard and we got to stick together
and put up with and look past don’t mention the… Jesus said;
Rev 3:16 So then
because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot I will spew thee out of my mouth.

Some of us are going through things that are necessary to clean our temples and set
our hearts and minds body’s and soul right with the King. We must return to our first
love.  Put away things that grieve His heart. Face the truth!

Some of us are facing the truth about testing. None of us really know our worth until
we are tested in an area that changes us forever.
Rev 3:18  I counsel thee to buy of
me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest
be clothed, and [that] the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

Some of us are reaping the seeds we have sown, due to standing in the way of
sinners. Remember
Psalm 1 v. 1  standeth in the way of sinners.....God is trying to get
people to change and we don’t like to see them go through this or that. Plus we want
to be someone’s savior & god. We know this because not only do we stand in the way
of God dealing with their return to Him, but we have to tell everyone how much we
did to help so and so….

We must stop looking for a feeling and start obeying.  One has nothing to do with the
other.  We do what is right and we reap the benefits of chosen people.  When we
reap the benefits of doing kind of sorta of, what feels close to, and they are really old
friends of mine; so it’s okay. Let's not forget it’s my family so I can’t say and it’s my job
or else I would …
then we, not God plan our harvest because we made deposits on
short term investments, that offer no return.

Mat 5:14
Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. It’s
possible some of us are going through a season of reaping bad counsel.  Perhaps
some of us have listen to ungodly counsel, and we are reaping the benefit package
that comes with listening to the world.

Others perhaps are reaping the benefit package that comes with the seat of the
scornful.
Psalm 1:1 Blessed [is] the man that walketh not in the counsel of the
ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. We
are the lights of the world, God’s word will not return to Him void.

It's during these hard times that some may say we Christian people are at the cross
roads and we need to make a choice.  We saints must say we have crossed over the
cross road and have our hearts set on our long term investment; eternity.

Just maybe the current problems we are in is due to a test and God will bring us
through. Trust Him. Stop talking about it and listing to what other have to say about it.
His word does not need a vote and it passes it's passed.  His word is final.

Then maybe what were going through is our own mess that God want’s to see
cleaned up so He can restore and He must dig down into what makes us tick to get
our attention.

Study - Proverbs 1 v. 10-33

The Fathers Facts!

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.
11 If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the
innocent without cause:
12 Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into
the pit:
13 We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil:
14 Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse:
15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; refrain thy foot from their path:
16 For their feet run to evil, and make haste to shed blood.
17 Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird.
18 And they lay wait for their own blood; they lurk privily for their own lives.
19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; which taketh away the life of
the owners thereof.
20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city
she uttereth her words, saying,
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their
scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known
my words unto you.
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man
regarded;
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind;
when distress and anguish cometh upon you.
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but
they shall not find me:
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own
devices.
32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall
destroy them.
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of
evil.
