Clothes Closet

With a heart to help others and a giving spirit, Rev. Jewel M. Scott was always feeding and clothing those in need. A mother of 13 children Rev. Jewel M. Scott knew what it took to stretch a meal or re-used clothing. The S.R. 1st Church of God originally was located in Santa Rosa CA and has been serving Sonoma County since 1966. Our passion is to carry Spiritual food to the lost. As we seek to help those in need of the gospel we’ve learned people have real physical needs as well. We care deeply for the community, friends and neighbors who are struggling not just financially but mentally emotionally yes and physically.
We hope to also offer those in need our clothes closet. (Coming soon). Items are collected through member of our local Church, donations from the community, and other local charities.  Pastor Linda Robert runs the pantry and closet at the Church with the help of volunteers. All the Church asks of the people who use this plan is to show picture identification. However we also know many in need have no I.D. We do our best to help all those that come.
The food pantry is in need of donations, both monetary and food, to continue providing to the community. We have learned over the years almost everyone yearns for meaningful ways to give and share.  We welcome donation to our food pantry, and our clothes closet knowing that it’ll make a real difference in the lives of people. It can costs us just to give fresh groceries––apples and pears, potatoes and carrots, rice and beans, bread and so much more–– to each family we serve. We welcome donations of any amount with gratitude. You can send a check made out to Santa Rosa First Church of God – The Food Pantry. Mail your donation to: 236 W. Sycamore Street Willows CA  95988. If you’d like us to send a beautiful gift card announcing that you have made a gift in someone’s name, please include the name and address of the recipient with your check, and we’ll mail the card out.

We can also pick up many donations within our local area by appointment. Please call (530) 934-2122 to schedule a pick up. If you would like to drop off items at our facility please call to schedule a drop off time at phone number listed above
